Shards of Order Equipment Tier List

Relics and gear that bias Soldier, Scholar, and Exile without splitting the shared deck.

Last updated:

Equipment in Shards of Order biases roles—rage, mana, arrows—without giving each hero a private deck. Relics and gear modify costs, marks, guards, and recovery while Soldier, Scholar, and Exile still draw from the same library. Tier placements here emphasize campaign progression, boss reliability, and Fracture-safe recovery in the demo heading toward July 28, 2026 full release on Steam PC from Fardust and Awaken Realms.

How equipment tiers differ from card tiers

Cards change draw composition; equipment changes how often lines execute. A B-tier card paired with S-tier relic can outperform an S-tier card with no support—but only if the relic matches your party weighting. Always reconcile gear with Card tier list and Deck Calculator projections.

S tier — flexible party relics

Universal draw smoothing — Extra cycling or start-of-fight setup without redraw penalties that chip party health under Fracture rules (Laws and Fracture).

Barrier or cleanse engines — Reduce forced revives that add Fracture stacks after defeat.

Time-counter manipulation — Delays or haste that align queue segments across all three heroes (Combat System).

These relics stay S tier because they help whichever hero draws the wrong band on a given turn.

A tier — role-biased staples

Soldier guard amplifiers — Extra block value, rage on block, or taunt duration. Elevate Soldier teaching tools without requiring duplicate guard cards.

Scholar mana accelerators — Bonus mana on ally damage thresholds or spell chain refunds. Strong when you already run sufficient setup spells (Scholar).

Exile mark synergies — Finisher refunds or bonus pierce when marks are consumed. A-tier only if your deck actually applies marks every boss phase (Exile).

B tier — chapter tech

Element or faction counters — Excellent in one region, replaceable later.

Single-boss trinkets — Hard counter one mechanic listed in Boss Guide; stash for rematches, not permanent loadouts.

Glass cannon arrows or rage spenders — Win fast or struggle—acceptable for skilled Exile pilots, risky for beginners.

C tier — redundant with deck choices

Relics that duplicate effects you already play every cycle—extra taunt when your shared deck is taunt-saturated, or mark duration when you lack finishers.

D tier — anti-synergy gear

Punish ally damage — Conflicts with Scholar’s three-mana engine unless a very specific build proves otherwise.

Revive gambling — Encourages Fracture stacks without payoff.

Redraw damage amplifiers — Stack attrition when demo changes already punish sloppy redraws (Demo Changes).

Slot planning for three heroes

Equipment slots typically force one party relic plus role accents. General-purpose recommendations:

  1. Early demo — Prioritize barrier or draw smoothing; DPS relics fail when libraries are inconsistent.
  2. Mid demo — Add Scholar mana or Soldier guard bias matching your weakest skill.
  3. Pre-launch farming — Swap in boss tech from B tier before rematches, then return to S-tier flexible relics.

Minimum specs reminder

Equipment tiers assume smooth combat reads on PC. Minimum requirements published for Shards of Order include Windows 10, dual-core 2 GHz CPU, 4 GB RAM, GTX 750 or HD 7770 class GPU, DirectX 12, and 4 GB storage—low-end hardware is playable but unforgiving of cluttered animations during complex queue turns. Languages and platforms

Full release supports many languages including English, French, German, and Spanish on Steam. Equipment names may differ by locale; this English wiki uses EN strings. Official store links: Official Links.

Patch volatility

Demo feedback reworked party flow and queue UI—relics that autopilot old timings may feel weaker until re-tested. Track Updates after launch balance passes.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does each hero equip separate gear?

Gear biases roles, but all heroes still share one deck—relics should support your overall party plan, not solo fantasies.

What relic should I pick first in the demo?

Flexible draw or barrier tools outperform narrow damage relics while your shared deck is still thin.

Can equipment fix a bad card list?

Partially. Relics amplify good curves—they rarely rescue decks missing guards, mana setup, or marks.

Do equipment tiers change by language or platform?

Mechanics are the same on supported PC locales; only names and UI differ.

Where are official system requirements listed?

See the Release Date update page and Steam store listing linked from Official Links.
